Paper Flower Projects For the Holidays

Paper flower projects for the holidays are a great way to spend a few quality hours with your family or friends making beautiful flowers, centerpieces and even gifts for the holidays.
In this article we will look at a few paper flower projects you can make for the holidays. There are a lot of holidays so we will stat with Christmas and try and get a few other holiday projects worked in as well.
Christmas ornament balls are one of the easier decorations to make with crepe paper. You can use a plastic ball (Styrofoam) next pick a color or a few if you would like a multicolored Christmas ornament ball. Once you have chosen your color, cut a piece of crepe paper large enough to cover it and attach the crepe paper to the ball with clear drying glue. You will also need a way to hang the ball. We recommend you place a small hole in the top of the ball before you wrap it with the crepe paper. Thread an ornament hook through the top so you can hang it when it is finished. Be careful not to cut your fingers on the hook.
Once you have it covered in the crepe paper add some glitter or make a design with beads. If you choose to make large ornaments you can hang them from doorways or even on your porch.
A Christmas centerpiece is another wonderful idea to decorate your home for the holidays. You will want to use Christmas colors for the centerpiece. You will need a flower making book with instructions and patterns. You can choose a flower and color you would like. Try to choose a Christmas like container to place your flowers in.
New Years is the next holiday and if you want to replace your Christmas themed decorations to ring in the New Year try this decoration. New years flower centerpiece the color white represents new beginnings but any color you like can be used for the centerpiece. You can always use a combination of white and colored paper flowers then sprinkle a little colorful glitter on the flowers. Buy or make a Happy New Year banner and attach it to the container for an added festive touch!
Summer holiday projects this project can be used for all the summer holidays.
You will need windowsill boxes, some green square Styrofoam to insert the flower stems into and the paper flowers. You will of course also need a book on how to make paper flowers, crepe paper and a few other tools and supplies. Once you have them all you can start making your flowers. When you have finished the flowers and placed them in the windowsill container you have the option of placing them in the window sill, or make a little garden in a corner of the room. The little garden is my favorite. For this you should use round planters. Plastic or ceramic will work just fine. Place your flowers in the containers and try to use an assortment of flowers and be sure to make some of the stems a bit longer so all of your flowers are not the same size.
